    Initial Pregnancy Session 
    Includes:
    Extensive subjective through past of gynae/OBS, pelvic health, exercise and goals
    Education on expectations and changes in pregnancy 
    Bladder and bowel changes, MSK conditions to look out for, prep the body to sleep on side, avoid laying on back, compression
    DRAM - monitor doming - provide tailored core exercise
    PF ax - provide tailored PFMT

    Throughout Pregnancy

    Management of a variety of pregnancy related conditions and musculoskeletal concerns which include:

    Pregnancy related Pelvic Girdle Pain, Low back pain, Round ligament pain, Varicosities, Carpal tunnel.

    Our clinical exercise pilates classes are individualised and safe throughout pregnancy.

    Birth Preparation (from 34 weeks):
    Birth Preparation Includes:
    Discussion of birthing options and informed consent
    Perineal stretching types - examination of PF and taught massage
    PF downtraining - relaxing through pelvic floor, coaching through belly breathing, exercise ball and stretches
    Teaching pushing techniques and positions for labour
    TENS machine (Hire)
    Continue exercise safely
    Education for early days post-partum

  • Post-Partum.

    Discussion of birth experience and mental wellbeing
    Mastitis education
    PF examination to assess healing, POP and provide tailored PFMT

Lauren Bendo

Director & Physiotherapist

Lauren is a highly motivated and personable physiotherapist who has an emphasis on a hands on approach, whilst providing patients with the tools, education and support to reach their rehabilitation goals.

Lauren has worked professionally in high performance sporting environments. She is currently the head physiotherapist for the Adelaide Thunderbirds and their elite pathways contributing to their exciting 2023 and 2024 championship victories. She is also the head physiotherapist for the Australian Under 21 National Netball team, and has previously worked with the Australian Fast 5 Netball Team in their World Cup championship. She has previously worked with the Contax Netball club and National State Basketball Program.

Passionate about promoting the well-being of female athletes, Lauren has developed a special interest in Women's Health. Her dedication extends to providing comprehensive care and guidance to women throughout every life stage, including pregnancy and postpartum rehabilitation, pelvic pain management and incontinence, particularly with the return to activity and in the sporting environment.

Lauren leads several of our clinical exercise Pilates classes where she continues to challenge patients individually with progressive overload principles.

Physiotherapist

Georgia Lovelock

Georgia completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy with Honours and has since gained extra qualifications in the field of women’s health. Her goal is to break down the taboo of women’s health conditions and help women through each stage of life from period and pelvic pain, to pregnancy, incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse and menopause. She has completed her Level 2 in the Women’s Pelvic Health Physiotherapy course allowing her to perform internal vaginal and anal examinations. 

Aside from Women’s Health Physiotherapy, Georgia also enjoys teaching Pilates and treating sports related injuries. She has ongoing experience with the Adelaide Cricket Club women’s and men’s team and thrives off injury prevention and management throughout their season.
